WOODBOX: 38 wood-based urban architecture projects that look to the future

Starting from some significant architectural projects already completed, WOODBOX demonstrates how wood construction is taking hold in new settings: from wide span load-bearing structures and the construction of skyscrapers to how wood can be used to create innovative spaces which make better use of pre-existing buildings, to regenerate urban areas and to construct new residential dwellings. The exhibition underlines just how important wood can be to the construction of public buildings such as schools and retirement homes. The majority of the projects included in the exhibition are situated in German-speaking countries, particularly Austria, who is at the forefront of wood-based construction.
